Völva’s Mead

In collaboration with the National Museum of Denmark, Snoremark’s mead brewer has developed Vølvens Mjød for the special exhibition “Vølvens varsel”. The mead is based on Völva’s herb universe – however, for obvious reasons, we have omitted the deadly pimpernel herb, which was one of Völva’s powerful magical herbs. Instead, we have chosen herbs that symbolize light, life and hope for the future – quince, elder and hemp on a base of currants and of course good Danish honey.
